My goal was to design myself one hoodie that would provide the comfort and warmth I was unable to get from other brands. My inability to settle on one idea during the designing process produced 16 designs. After months of contemplation, I realised that I had laid the foundation for launching a clothing brand that would not only meet customers' fashion needs but make a positive impact on the world.
ZimG_igabyte as a clothing line, was an idea that had been in my head for years. I was planning on starting a small clothing line, as a hobby, only once I got to a point in life where I felt as though I was comfortable. After 6/7 years toying with the idea, this point of comfort never came.
I believe fashion has the power to transcend mere appearances and can be a force for good, inspiring change and empowerment. Using the designs I had produced, I became committed to creating a brand that embraced diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability through the expression of my cultural background. I was born in Zimbabwe but my family line can be traced to Ethiopia and even further back to my forefathers who migrated from Egypt. I wanted to create clothing that would not only enhance a person's appearance but also their self-confidence and sense of personal style.
I believe everyone has a story, and we should all be proud of where we come from. The accumulation of culture, knowledge and wisdom from the stories originating from different backgrounds can only help as individuals to become the best version of ourselves. ZimG_igabyte goes out of its way to ensure cultural background is expressed through our clothing line while incorporating my Egyptian ancestry. In essence this is my way of sharing my lineage with the world.

Each piece has been thoughtfully crafted to embody style, comfort, and durability. Word about ZimG_igabyte has spread and allowed people from all walks of life to embrace the brand's philosophy. It has a symbol of unity, where individuals celebrate their uniqueness while feeling a sense of belonging to a larger, global community.
